Instead, you should concentrate on creating a logo that is both recognizable and easily associated with the company. After all, the final product should be something the customer can identify and the company can “own”.
You really want to make sure your logo is versatile, meaning if it’s black or white it’s still recognizable. Even if it’s big or really small you can still tell what that logo represents and you can still read it in any type of format.
If you have text in your logo, you want to make sure that text is big enough and readable if it was shrunken down to a small size. For example if you’re making a YouTube video it’s important that the text is readable if it was placed in the corner of your video in a small area.

Sketch out your logo first. You want to get your ideas out before you go to the computer. This way you’ll get all of your ideas out of your head and onto paper, which will make it much easier for you to decide which concept is good and worthy of further improving.
Use a vector program
It’s not a good idea to use programs like Photoshop, because PS uses pixels to create images. These images get pixelated if you try to resize them, and you’re going to need to use your logo in many different sizes. You don’t want your logo to look blurry when you resize it, so make sure you use a vector program or a logo maker that gives you vector graphics. You’ll always be able to size your logo up and down without getting any quality loss.
Make sure your logo represents your brand in the best way possible. Your logo must fit with whatever your brand identity is. You don’t want to have a lot of abstract or random things in your logo that don’t go with the brand of your company. You really want customers to see your logo and know what your brand is and what kind of business you do. So make your logo identify with your brand and make sure people can recognize it right away.
Don’t be predictable

Use psychology of color
Color is always the first thing that the human eye notices. Many studies have been conducted to examine the effects that color has on the human mind. It’s a fact that some colors can cause certain reactions in people. Probably one of the best known is red, which creates aggression. Studies have shown that the best color for call to action buttons is orange, because it encourages people to click.
When designing a logo it’s best to use colors that are related to the industry you are in. For example if your business is associated with children, then you want to use yellow, as this color’s meanings include stimulation and creativity. If you have a travel agency then you want to use orange, as it suggests adventure and fun, etc.
